AZoTV Z030 HOT COMPRESSION TESTING MACHINE FOR TESTING CATALYTIC CONVERTER SUPPORT MATS - 21st TestXpo

To determine the behavior under pressure of support mats while reproducing conditions in exhaust systems, Zwick has developed a testing machine for use at temperatures up to 1050°C with possible gap change. The machine can also be used to determine friction coefficients under all relevant conditions. The Z030 is equipped with two 30kN compression platens capable of being heated up to 1050°C for applying vertical force for stiffness determination. A laserXtens extensometer is used to enable measurement of the separation of the hot compression platens at these high temperatures.
