This is a preview on the video tutorial where we focus on the most proximal region of the upper limb, which is of course the shoulder region.
This is one of a series of 4 videos. Over the course of four tutorials, we are going to be examining a complete series of cross sections taken at various levels along the upper limb. We are going to learn how to identify the bones, muscles and neurovasculature present, and of course examine how they are arranged in relation to one another.
In the full version of this video, we will be exploring the following structures found in the shoulder region:
- bones and bony landmarks: ribs, clavicle, spine of the scapula, acromion, coracoid process, glenoid cavity;
- muscles: trapezius muscle, rhomboid major muscle, serratus anterior muscle, subclavius muscle, pectoralis major muscle, subscapularis muscle, supraspinatus muscle, infraspinatus muscle, teres minor muscle, pectoralis major muscle, pectoralis minor muscle, deltoid muscle;
- arteries, veins and nerves: axillary artery, axillary vein, brachial plexus.
