Center content without a container - the perfect fallback for Grid based layouts Kevin Powell

Containers are really useful, but now that Grid is a thing, it often becomes extra markup that we don't really need. The only issue is, if we want to create a fallback for older browsers, we can run into problems.

Luckily, as Lea Verou has shown us (link to her book is down below), we can center content without a container, and it's the perfect fallback for a CSS Grid based layout

CSS Conic Gradients are kind of strange at first, but once you start playing with them you can pull off some really cool stuff. This video is a quick exploration of how they work, and also addresses browser support issues with a really handy and easy to use Polyfill.
